Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m one of the owners of Elev8 Fitness. We are a boutique studio offering a variety of group fitness classes. I have been a fitness instructor for 8 years and I’ve often felt like group fitness is an overlooked asset in most gyms.

Group fitness is the heart of a gym and creates community and accountability for its members. So I wanted to build a place that leaned into this untapped resource.

I have not always been overly concerned with fitness. After my second child, I didn’t love the way I felt in my body, so I joined a gym. I was so uncomfortable in the free weights area; I didn’t know what to do. I noticed they offered a class in which they dimmed the lights, and I knew I wanted to try it. That was Les Mills Body Balance and it quite literally changed my life. In that class I built strength, flexibility, and confidence. After years of practice, I took the plunge to get certified to teach and I’ve never looked back. Since that time, I have pursued certifications in barre and Pilates.

I want to create a space in my hometown that can offer support and encouragement to people who need it like I did. To me, group fitness classes need to be a balanced combination of safety, fun, and challenge. I want my members to know when they darken our door that they will be in an environment that fosters growth and community. That they will be improving their bodies and minds in their own time, and at their own pace.

To me, Elev8 is about creating a place to lift each other up and get stronger together. This is what I’m working toward, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

Come check out our facility Jan 1 for our open house (11am-4pm), classes begin Jan 2.
